Elena Martin is the artist behind Aquarelen, a Spanish writer and illustrator based in Los Angeles. Her work blends traditional media—watercolors and colored pencils—with digital tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, and Procreate to create vibrant, textured illustrations. She is passionate about capturing the beauty and humor of the natural world, infusing each piece with color and personality.

Elena is also a proud member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) of Los Angeles.

If you can’t find her at her studio, she is probably at the beach, reading outside, hiking, doing yoga, visiting the latest art exposition, sketching in nature, or traveling to new destinations.
