Elena Martin is the artist behind Aquarelen, a Spanish writer and illustrator based in Los Angeles. She combines traditional mixed media and digital tools to create vibrant, textured illustrations with a strong connection to nature, color, and storytelling.

Elena is a proud member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) Los Angeles. She is also the author of the children’s books Pequeños abuelos (also published in English as Little Grands) and The Rainbow, both independently published.

When she’s not in her studio, you’ll likely find her at the beach, reading outdoors, hiking, practicing yoga, visiting art exhibitions, sketching in nature, or traveling to discover new places.
